Shanell and Mona co-founded The Carpenter Crawford Legal Team and have chosen to concentrate in the area of Trusts and Estates. Mona is passionate about Trusts and Estates because after 17 years of transactional planning with deeds for real property, and seeing outcomes that still landed clients in court or their loved ones scrambling for understanding, she realized that families needed so much more, and she was just the one to deliver. Mona now having a small family of her own, including a 5-year-old granddaughter to whom she wants to leave a grand legacy, realizes the importance of estate planning for minor beneficiaries. When Mona’s mom passed at age 65, she left a legacy of prayer and actually reduced many of them to writing. Her mother left something of value – the importance of prayer – and Mona will be sure her clients preserve their unique values as well.

 

Shanell realized how important it is to educate everyone on Trust and Estates when her brother suddenly passed away at age 44 without a plan in place. This tragedy helped her realize the sad fact that most people want to avoid the death talk, but everyone desperately needs to talk about it and properly plan. Shanell is a mother of 4 children of her own, 2 grandchildren and 4 step children so she understands the importance of estate planning for everyone especially for blended families. Mona and Shanell are both wives, mothers and grandmothers, and they understand the importance of family and family legacy and want to help you to design your Family Estate Plan.
