Shanell graduated from The University of Baltimore School of Law with a Juris Doctorate in 2004. Prior to and during her tenure as a law student, Shanell worked as a paralegal for the Center for Medicaid and Medical Services for 3 years and as a legal assistant for a Bankruptcy law firm for 5 years. Upon graduating from Law School, Shanell founded The Harleston Law Firm, LLC. She owned and operated The Harleston Law Firm, LLC in Randallstown, Maryland from 2004 to 2010 while employing a full legal staff including three other attorneys. She then accepted a federal government appointment and worked as a Senior Attorney Advisor with the Social Security Administration for 17 years. Shanell plans to retire from the Federal Government after 20 years of service to focus on your family and estate planning needs full time.
